METALLICA Confirm Rapper Collaboration, Promise To Reveal More Details Soon!
December 20, 2001METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich revealed via a three-minute video clip posted at the group's official web site that “it's all good, alive and well” in the METALLICA camp, and he hinted that he would offer more information on “a couple of interesting things” on the band front in an upcoming end-of-year edition of the So What METALLICA fan magazine, the interviews for which were conducted with Lars and guitarist Kirk Hammett on November 20th in Kirk's basement. Among the topics that were reportedly addressed in the aforementioned interview are “the post-Jason Newsted mood” in the METALLICA camp, the summer studio sessions, “the current excitement about METALLICA's future” and the group's much-rumored collaboration with The Swizz Beats production team and rapper JA RULE on an as-yet-undisclosed track, the existence of which has been officially confirmed by the band in a message posted at www.metclub.com.
